Traditional Handicrafts Program
Department Introduction
The Traditional
Handicrafts program was established under the Technical Programs Department of
Gönen Vocational School with the aim of supporting and contributing to the
arts. The program is to educate individuals who are capable of producing
universally significant art works, with a goal of progress and advancement in
the field of Traditional Handicrafts. The program aims to find pathways and
fundamental conditions for ensuring the peace and happiness of all people, as
well as promoting the continuous evolution of humanity. The program is
currently supported by two faculty members.
The Purpose and Objectives of the Program
At the end of
the two-year education, the aim is to provide graduates a career in factories,
handicraft workshops, and Public Education Centres as master instructors.
The program
trains individuals who are considering technological and artistic developments
in their field, possess future-oriented knowledge and sensitive to their
environment.
