Gonen Vocational School
When we look at the history of Gönen in terms of
educational institutions, we see that it has a rich historical heritage. Gönen
Village Institute has a “Village Educators Course” history dating back to 1939.
Quite intensive work was done and hundreds of instructors started an
educational mobilization in their villages with the educational information
they received from here. With the establishment of the Village Institutes in
1940, the name of the course became “Gönen Village Institute”. A strong
educational army was trained with a strong teaching staff. Gönen Vocational
School commenced its educational activities in the 2003-2004 academic year.
Education and training started in the Isparta Vocational School building with
the Accounting Program and Office Management and Secretarial Program within the
Economic and Administrative Programs. In the 2004-2005 academic year, it moved
to the building in Gönen District. The vocational school currently continues
its educational activities with six departments and ten programs.
The university was established as a new university in
Isparta under the name of Isparta University of Applied Sciences with the “Law
No. 7141 on Amendments to the Higher Education Law and Certain Laws and
Legislative Decrees”, which was published in the Official Gazette of the
Republic of Turkey dated May 18, 2018 and numbered 30425. In accordance with
the relevant law, Gönen Vocational School continues its activities by being
connected to Isparta University of Applied Sciences.
